Products: build your store catalog
This is where you create everything you sell or show in your catalog. Each item can be a product, a service or an event.
Creating a product
- Click New.
- Write the title in each language and, if you use one, the SKU (your internal reference).
- Upload the main image.
- Choose the type: Product, Service or Event. The options below change with the type.
- Assign it to one or more categories.
- Fill in the link (the last part of its address, lowercase with hyphens) and the description.
- Set the price and save with Published set to “Yes”.
Sales options (Product type)
- Billable: if set to “No”, the product is shown but cannot be added to the cart. Useful for a catalog without online sales.
- Only budget: with the price at 0, “Request a quote” is shown instead of the price.
- Use stock and Stock: the units you have. When 1 to 5 are left, the product page says “Only N left in stock”, and Google uses it to know whether the product is available. Today the store does not deduct units when it sells, nor stop purchases at 0: update the number yourself when you sell.
- Digital product: after buying it, the customer gets the downloadables and the content reserved for that product.
- Wholesale: a lower unit price from a minimum quantity. For example, 10 € per unit and 8 € from 3: whoever buys 3 or more pays 8 € each, in the cart, the order and the charge. The product page announces it (“From 3 units: 8 € each”). If the wholesale price is not lower than the normal one, it is ignored.
Other fields
- Grid: “Full” removes the photo column from the product page. Meant for services or events without their own image.
- Filters: name/value pairs (for example “Color: red”) shown on the product page.
- Options: variants the customer can choose.
- Parent: groups the product under another one.
- Affiliate link: the product’s Amazon link or its ASIN. If filled in, the product is not sold here: it shows a “View on Amazon” button with your Amazon Affiliates ID and hides your price.
- Events: publication start and end date.
To show products on the front page, create a section of type Products and choose the category.
